Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean opened the new Auchi Dialysis Unit, part of the new West London Renal and Transplant Centre, in honour of Mr. Nadhmi Auchi in the presence of Sir Thomas Legg, Chairman of Hammersmith Hospital NHS Trust. The Auchi Dialysis Unit is the biggest provider of dialysis treatment in the UK and Europe. In her speech, Baroness Symons thanked Mr Auchi: “For the new unit and for giving us the ability to do more research into kidney diseases”.
